{"id":44,"date":"2005-07-08T00:39:21","date_gmt":"2005-07-08T07:39:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wiredatom.com\/blog\/?p=44"},"modified":"2005-12-21T22:05:52","modified_gmt":"2005-12-22T06:05:52","slug":"hitchhikers-guide-could-do-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wiredatom.com\/blog\/2005\/07\/08\/hitchhikers-guide-could-do-more\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Hitchhiker&#8217;s Guide&#8221; Could Have Been More"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/hitchhiker_1.png\" width=\"61\" height=\"57\" class=\"alignleft\" alt=\"Hitchhiker's Guide logo\" \/> We went to see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/trailers\/touchstone\/hitchhikersguidetothegalaxy\/trailer_3\/\" target=\"_blank\"><i>The Hitchhiker&#8217;s Guide to the Galaxy<\/i><\/a>, adopted from a book by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Douglas_adams\" target=\"_blank\">Douglas Adams<\/a> by the same title, at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cineluxtheatres.com\/2005\/cinema_saver10.html\" target=\"_blank\">dollar theatre<\/a> on Tuesday (well, as close to &#8220;dollar&#8221; as we can get around here). <\/p>\n<p>The story was a bit on the dry side (Grace fell asleep a couple of times at the funniest moments) though there were lots of actions and subtle British humor sprinkled all over the movie. One doesn&#8217;t have to have read the book to appreciate the story development though there were still much to be desired, such as character development. <\/p>\n<p>That said, a geek can&#8217;t call himself a geek until he&#8217;s read the book.
