I credit most of this popularity to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wiredatom.com\/jobs_stanford_speech\/\">my lucky break<\/a>. That speech, a direct result of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wiredatom.com\/blog\/2005\/06\/14\/stupid-canon-camcorder\/\">my camcorder&#8217;s break down<\/a>, single handedly put this blog on the map. Steve Jobs, once again, <del>changed my life (ok, that sounded lame&#8230;.)<\/del> demonstrated his <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Reality_distortion_field\" target=\"_blank\">reality distortion field<\/a> in the cyberspace. <\/p>\n<p>As a quick update from my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wiredatom.com\/blog\/2005\/11\/06\/hit-me-baby\/\">last statistics<\/a> monitoring, here&#8217;s what happened a month later&#8230; 27,000 hits and 8,000 unique visitors and counting&#8230; <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/hits_12_02_2005.png\" width=\"278\" height=\"133\" class=\"centered\" alt=\"Site statistics for 12\/2005\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/countries_12_02_2005.png\" width=\"255\" height=\"143\" class=\"centered\" alt=\"Most visited countries for 12\/2005\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WiredAtom has been a runaway success&#8230; It&#8217;s beyond my wildest dreams having started blogging just six months ago.
