There's a case study where a small startup is using it as source control. But I like the idea of locally available source control in case of Internet access disruptions... clearly not the same requirements as you and your bud... but let me know how that goes since I am also interested in remote backups... etc etc etc. But I've been recommending people to use that service as an alternative to <em>FTP</em>.
