One time we ran out of gas on the highway. We coasted off to the side. I was little, so I don’t remember how, but there was a cop there after a short time. We found a plastic hose from somewhere (maybe the cop had it for this purpose?) and he gave us a few gallons of gas via syphoning from his tank. That’s probably the only good experience I’ve had with the police.

You just have to be careful that you don’t suck too hard and get a lung full of gas – it might be lethal. But we were carefree in those days…
