I haven't had to use them because I was in an accident... yet. One time, the van broke down and I called them for a tow. The van wasn't covered, BUT they called a tow company and sent them to me anyways. I had to pay of course. (The car has $50 tow insurance, but not the poor van. heh heh)

After the tickets from your "incidents" go off your record, (5 years I think) you should switch insurers because they won't track back farther than that I think. Of course - GEICO & Progressive are supposed to NOT care...

Thanks for the suggestion. We'll have to keep them in mind the next time our insurance is up for renewal. But hopefully we won't have to test AAA's customer-readiness in anytime soon. My question is though, have you actually used them when you are in need of their service? That ticket-forgiving deal is cool. I could've used that service...

We are paying about $1,200 for our trusty old Infiniti mainly due to a couple of minor "incidents" (thanks to me).

Liberty Mutual.
GREAT customer service. ALWAYS.
Automatic monthly withdrawal from bank account. i.e. Small monthly payments instead of one or two large annual lump sums.
We pay ~1200/year for two cars & renters insurance.
Lower rates for over 25, married, graduate degrgees.
Also get discounts for graduating from certain universities or being members of certain credit unions.
They even forgive one ticket (depending on severity) without raising your rates.
But the best thing is customer service. I have never had better.
Although now that I say that, Murphy's Law says they will do something awful...
